Dear Ugandans and International Community,
The manhunt and eventual Capture of LRA Chief Warlord Gen: Joseph Kony and his indicted war criminals in LRA by USA and other Regional forces shall not only be good news to the people who have born the brunt and suffered at the hands of the LRA terrorist but to the entire world for the following reasons;
1. The LRA rebellion has been a very mysterious conflict from Northern Uganda then engulfing the entire Great Lakes Region with international links. Only the Chief War Lord Gen: Joseph Kony would make the world discover the Mystery right from the genesis of the conflict to the present day LRA activities. Therefore we are not only supporting USA and regional forces to Capture the War Lord fugitive but praying for them as well
2. All the LRA peace negotiators sent to Juba By Gen:Kony are working with President Museveni including the Head of LRA Delegation Mr.Martin Ojul ,NOW a State House classified employee and an operative. Dr. Matsanga got his share of the pie and is fully with NRM plus many others. Ugandans would need the twenty something connections that existed between Joseph Kony and President Museveni Security System. Only the Capture of Gen: Joseph Kony would give Ugandans the truth.
3. The crimes against humanity, genocide, sex slavery and child abuse, war crimes committed by Gen: Joseph Kony LRA cannot go unpunished .Gen: Joseph Kony must face justice alongside UPDF Officers/State actors who perpetuated ,prolonged and participated in the genocide. Two sides to the conflict-not only one Party is guilty. Ugandans needs a thorough investigation of the other side and NRM government hands them over to ICC to face trial. WE WANT JUSTICE
4. A big chunk of our National Budget has been going to defense and classified security operations without Government investing in the youth who are now facing unemployment at a rate of 83% and other social service sectors like,AGRICULTURE, EDUCATION, HEALTH etc. The end of war means investment in the general good of Ugandans and therefore stability,Peace , development and freedoms,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.
5. After the Capture of Gen: Joseph Kony and his subsequent trial at ICC along other state actors, there is need for a National Truth and Reconciliation Commission to be set up by the NRM government to hear testimonies of victims of war not only for the LRA but the entire period from 1966 crisis to date. There is need for this Commission to start causing a National Healing Process in Uganda and restore sanity, Nationhood and values that binds us together in our Mother Land
